BEFORE YOU VOLUNTEER IN THE SCHOOL WITH THE KIDS, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK AND WATCH A CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION VIDEO.

Upon completion of the background check you will receive a confirmation # or screen that says "You did it!."

If you do not pass the check, the school office will contact you. If you complete the steps and receive the confirmation, you are all set.

ONLY OVERNIGHT, DROWNPROOFING, AND ONE-ON-ONE CHAPERONES NEED FINGERPRINTING DONE THROUGH AACPS.

• One-on-one unsupervised or unrestricted access - a person having responsibility for a student while not in the direct continuous view of an AACPS employee.
• Fingerprint-supported background checks must be scheduled through the Fingerprinting Office and is $63. Call to schedule: 410-222-5045.
• Complete 3 weeks prior to volunteer commitment.
• Good until your youngest graduates out of AACPS.
• You must bring your completed fingerprint card to the office or email it in.

1.  Open the Membership Toolkit app on your device.
2.  Tap the "Directory" button.
3.  Sort by grade and classroom teacher.

Keep in mind, families who have not joined the PTO will not be listed.
