HOLIDAY SHOP 2024
The Annual Penguin Patch Holiday Shop will be held on
Friday, December 6 from 3:00-7:00PM
in the school gymnasium. The Holiday Shop provides an opportunity for students to
participate in the spirit of giving as they shop for their family and friends. Items will be priced
between $0.25 - $12, with most items averaging between $2-5. Volunteers will be available
to help students navigate the shop and manage their budgets. Money envelopes, with gift
lists to help your child plan and budget for each person, will be sent home in backpacks prior
to the Holiday Shop event. We strongly recommend sending your child with cash. If checks
must be sent, please pre-fill the amount and make them payable to Shipley's Choice PTO.
However, please note that we will be unable to provide change if the pre-filled amount
exceeds the total cost of the purchase.
The 5th graders will have a table set up in the lobby to help make luminaries (to be lit on the night of 5th grade caroling, December 15th) for a $5 donation. Please stop by to make a luminary while your little ones are shopping away!
Volunteers:
To make this magical event a success, we need many parent helpers. Volunteer positions are available for set-up, cashiers, shopper helpers, and clean up. Middle and high school students seeking community service hours may sign up as shopper helpers, as well. Please consider
volunteering your time for this wonderful event. Volunteer signup link above or click HERE!
From our Environmental Committee:
Bring a reusable bag for shopping and to be entered into a raffle for a prize!
From our Helping Hands Committee:
We will have a collection bin at the Holiday Shop this year. Please consider making a donation of travel sized toiletries for Linda's Legacy to help fill backpacks for homeless. We will also collect used children/adult winter jackets/accessories to donate.
