Spirit Day: wear something that represents a positive message or kindness.

Description

Autism Acceptance Month celebrates and honors the experiences and identities of Autistic individuals. It emphasizes understanding, inclusion, and support, moving beyond awareness towards meaningful acceptance.

SCES is excited to celebrate acceptance, understanding, and the unique strengths of every learner in our community. Autism is a natural variation in how people think, learn, communicate and experience the world. Many individuals with autism, have incredible talents, creativity, and perspectives that enrich our school every day. Below some helpful resources for families who want to explore more about autism.

To help our students learn about and spread acceptance, we are encouraging these spirit days in April:

Friday, 4/24- Sensory friendly Friday- wear your comfiest clothes.

Tuesday, 4/28- positive vibes and acceptance: wear something that represents a positive message or kindness.

Thank you for partnering with us to create a school community where every student feels valued, supported and celebrated.
